September Bible Verses (Encouragement for School)
School has started or is just about to start all over the world for kids and college students. So it isn’t a surprise to me that I’m already hearing about some that are stressed. Stress can lead to all types of things from outbursts of anger, and sadness to death so it is important to me that I get this list out for those looking to seek encouragement from the Lord.

Anxious Verses for those Stresses in Life
Everyone deals with anxiety in their own way, but that can also be a problem. Make sure you aren’t trying to deal with it on your own. Seek and ask God for help. Tell others to see if they can help relieve some of the stress, fear or anxiety you might be dealing with.
If you are a student starting college or just a new school year there will be all types of things that give you worry, others have probably dealt with the same thing you are facing. Seek advice. If you are a parent with a child going to college for the first time, remember you are not alone. Try praying over your child every time a negative thought goes through your head.

Make me know Your ways, LORD; Teach me Your paths. – Psalm 25:4

Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful. – John 14:27

Bible Verses on Letting Go
It isn’t easy when you love someone and you have to let them go. Whether they are moving on to college, married life or even the military. It is hard to release those baby birds from the nest, but even a momma bird lets her young climb to the edge and releases them when they are ready. We must trust in God to know he will protect them. This is one thing I’m always having to remind myself of, God loves my children more than I do.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John1:9
As a mom that is currently letting go I know how hard it is. My youngest daughter (BabyGirl) has just moved into the dorms. To say I wasn’t worried would be a lie, instead I’m leaning into the bible and praying. The first night she was there I waited up until she finally texted to say, “I’m safe in my room, in my bed. I love you. Night.” Yes, she knew I’d worry. Each day gets a little easier because He shows me he is guiding her with each text she sends to tell me something exciting she discovered. I know he is watching her.
A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away. – Ecclesiastes 3:6
“Do not call to mind the former things, Or consider things of the past. – Isaiah 43:18
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. – Phillipians 4:8
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. – 1 Timothy 4:12
Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness? – 2 Corinthians 6:14
Anger Bible Verses
We spoke about how anger can really hurt your body, make you sick, or even die but it can also cause you to do sinful things. Remember Jesus died for our sins, but there was also forgiveness. If he can forgive so can we. If you have hatred in you, I am here to tell you right now once you release it, you will feel so much lighter. I would never want to see anyone I know lose their soul, pray over everything you do.
All bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. – Ephesians 4:31-32
A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. – Proverbs 15:1
A hot-tempered person stirs up strife, But the slow to anger calms a dispute. – Proverbs 15:18
“For irritation kills the fool, And jealousy brings death to the simple.- Job 5:2
I hope these September Bible verses help you get through the month. I’ll definitely be writing down scripture every day and focusing on prayer for my kids this month. Just remember instead of doing this alone you should be giving it over to God and letting him help you through it.
Note: All the verses were from NASB
