The Life of a Home Mom

Family Camp Movie is Out!

Many thanks to K-LOVE Films for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

Did you ever go to “church camp” during the summer when you were younger? I did and those are some fun memories and great relationships that were made during those years. I even made sure my daughter went to church camp when it became an option. I totally recommend it. But we are talking about FAMILY Camp the movie. Have you seen it? It comes out this weekend!

A little about the Family Camp movie:

First, this is a faith-based movie which means the entire family can sit around and laugh at this movie together. This is great to prepare for the summer, a late Mother’s Day movie, or just because it is the weekend and the weather is perfect outside. In the movie, a family’s pastor encourages the entire congregation to sign-up for a week away at family camp, Grace believes she’s found the perfect cure for her imperfect clan—even if they’d all rather be anywhere but at rustic Camp Katokwah. Have you ever need a restart to your family?

The first feature film from The Skit Guys, FAMILY CAMP is a laugh-out-loud comedy that will touch the hearts and tickle the funny bones of every family member from eight to eighty. The cast includes The Skit Guys—Tommy Woodard and Eddie James—along with Leigh-Allyn Baker (“Good Luck Charlie”), Gigi Orsillo, Robert Amaya (“Courageous”), Cece Kelly, Mark Christopher Lawrence, and social media sensation/comedian Heather Land.

Imagine going to a Family Church camp together and getting a bunkmate that is the complete opposite of your family? You know your family that thrives on technology vs the ones that could literally live off the grid and just read books. I fear this would be us, haha, but this movie shows you how two can become friends and really learn to welcome each other. Course this would not be a comical movie without someone getting stung by a ton of bees, flying into some mud scenes, etc.

If you were able to make it to the #FamilyCampMovie let me know what your thoughts were?

I think we were introduced to them in 2015 and they always had us cracking up.

This would be a fun movie to go see with your family, by yourself, or an entire church group. Take your
church group, school, or the neighborhood, to see it together.
