For example, my daughter loves the book of Esther. The introduction to Esther tells you everything you’d like to know, key verses, the author, the date in which it took place, the big picture, and a summary of the book. Another thing I liked was the Timeline at the side of the page which gives you a glance at it all at once. In the book of Esther, there will be one page devotional from Priscilla Shirer (a favorite of mine) about When God seems Distant and I’m sure we’ve all had a moment or two like this.
