Congratulations Graduate!
A little over 2 weeks ago this little baby grew up, graduated and became a young man. I remember just about that whole pregnancy with him, how doctors weren’t even sure if he’d make it to term. He shocked them all, even came a bit early and has always tried doing things before his time. I look back to all the times when it was just him and I, ,before we had a clue he’d have 4 more siblings. We were by ourselves for a little over 1.5 years when his dad was overseas. I think back to the time when I use to ride with him on the seat of my bicycle so he could go to his swimming lessons and a playdate or two. The Easter Egg where he proudly showed me the little gold egg he’d found, or that stolen first kiss in preschool to his friend Makayla.
Through the years I have loved watching him grow, seeing glimpses of who he’d be in the future. From the very first family date to him going out on his own. When we moved out here he got a part-time job at our local church, he’d show me he could plan his money well. Today I’m getting ready to say “see ya later” in a little more than a week. I am so very proud of him and know he will do great things in the future. I will miss him when he moves to Indiana and enters the college/adult life, even right now he’s currently applying for jobs online for out there. He’s a smart young man with a great head on his shoulders and a wonderful heart. I look forward to seeing the next stage of his life. I will miss him as he is my son, my first born but my friend too. Not many agree that parents should be friends with their kids but I tell you, I value that friendship so much. I know in the future he will be able to confide in me when he needs to do so. Here’s a few photos from graduation that I wanted to share with you all.
Just to show you the personality of my son, he had a Superman t-shirt on under his graduation gown, upon going up he ripped it open to do the Superman Pose. I loved it! Couldn’t get the photo but had a few to share anyways.
Congratulations AntonioMichael, aka SoccerBoy!
It goes by so fast doesn’t it? My step son graduated from high school last week and he left for the army a few days later.
Congratulations on your son graduating. I am sure my kids will be there in a blink of an eye!
Congrats on your guy growing up! Mine is graduating preschool tomorrow 😉
Congrats on the big milestone! It sounds like hes getting a great head start for his big move!
Congrats! That’s such a fun milestone to reach. What’s on the horizon for him?
My how time does fly! Graduation is such a bittersweet time for us as parents! I know you’ll miss your big guy, but love getting together again always!
