The Pureflix TV Series, “Vindication” is a great series that both Mom and Teens can bond together over. Vindication is a unique teen-friendly crime drama series that alters the perception of faith-based entertainment. The definition of Vindication is a triumphant defense of character and conduct against charges of error or wrong. The act of vindicating, or the state of being vindicated; defense. (bible hub)

I have to tell ya I’m a sucker for law shows but not all shows will I allow my kids to watch. I was happy to find a series that was Christian-based that the two of us can watch together. This is Bella’s Senior year and everything is so fast-paced right now, this was the perfect way to sit back on the couch, relax and just enjoy a wholesome show together even Little A (he’s 14) watched a few episodes.

Of course now neither want me to watch a single episode with them. ACK! We can all agree this is best to watch it all at once, but we started it on a Sunday so had to finish on Monday. Definitely, something you can binge watch and you will probably have to pause a lot because the conversations will definitely be worth it.

Vindication Season 1

Detective Travis (Todd Terry, Breaking Bad) has spent 15 years solving cases in the small town of East Bank, Texas. When the addition of an eager trainee upends his routine, Travis is forced to adjust his ways while balancing a growing number of suspiciously consistent cases. At home, tensions between the cynical detective and his devoutly religious wife (who even hosts a bible study weekly) escalate when their estranged daughter returns home and there’s a surprise twist to it. Bella’s favorite character is the daughter of the cop, Becky.

This is a great cop show that brings everything from sex trafficking, affairs, and other teen issues (sexting), and murders. Drug addictions, PTSD, and even disabilities will appear in Season 1 which are all issues we may come across in our everyday lives as Christians. This series shows how some approach these topics which open up communication for families to have with each other on the other side of the screen. The beauty of this series is you don’t have to worry about covering eyes because of graphic sex scenes.

A teens Take on Vidication

Bella really got engaged and a bit upset with Vindication Season 1 Episode 3. It is about a missing person and people assuming the worse in someone because they are a little bit different. I love the lessons in the episode because it shows us that we can’t all judge the moment we see someone whether they are new to the neighborhood or just a little different. Sadly, many times people judge at first glance and they have to prove themselves later.

Vindication Season 2

Vindication Season 2

In Season 2, Detective Gary Travis will encounter real-world obstacles in his professional and personal life that will challenge his character and stretch his faith. I’m sure we’ve all dealt with life challenges and from one time or another it has challenged our own faith.
