25 Random Facts about Me
This one is going to be hard because I think I’ve kind of revealed myself more lately than I ever have, either way below is going to be 25 random facts about me. I’d love to hear some facts about you.
1. I’m the mother to 5.
2. Sagittarius
3. I was born in Ohio, raised in California.
4. I got married two days after I graduated high school.
5. Didn’t get my license until I was 26. I only got it then because I almost gave birth to my 3rd child at home because my husband was overseas (Iraq) and all my rides were gone that night.
6. I give birth in 30 minutes or less.
7. Truth is 2 births were a bit longer (45 minutes and the other was induced)
8. I lived in 3 states as a child, once married I would live in 6 states.
9. I’ve still never finished reading the last Harry Potter book, probably because I didn’t want the series to end.
10. My favorite color is blood red. You know how it is almost so dark it looks black but if you tilt it you can see the red.
11. I basically write my blog like I talk, yes with ya’ll and everything.
12. Right after I got married I colored my hair a dark red. This picture will give you an idea. Believe it or not that was my mug shot (okay not really) for my passport. We never ended up going.
13. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing in the hopes to get a job in Public Relations.
14. I once wrote a story about a little frog that ended up in my yard as a child after my family and I went fishing. I’ve never finished the series and my dad still asks me to write it. I need to get on that.
15. I’ve never been outside the United States, my foot has been in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans though. My husband has been all over the world.
16. I’ve been married 18 years, yes there have been ups and downs just like any other married couple.
17. I’m passionate about writing and reading. There for a while I couldn’t even blog it tortured me because I wanted to write so badly but couldn’t think of anything to say that would interest you readers. I can also get lost in a book and drift off into that land, it is almost like I split and dive into a book.
18. I’ve never broke a bone, but I have had stitches.
19. I have a tattoo of my muse, a frog in a jester’s outfit on my right shoulder blade. I once had a dream about him coming into my room, standing about 6 ft tall and sprinkling writer’s dust over me. Next morning I woke up with a story idea. I got that tattoo at 26 years old.
20. Growing up I was always athletic, I did softball up until I hit high school and in high school I did track and cross country. Sad to know now I’m so out of shape I can’t even run 3 miles like I once did.
21. I want to conquer all my fears.
22. While in college I always felt like I was in some type of dream and that I was somehow cheating the system because I would constantly get A’s and thought that one day I’d wake up and they’d all realize I was an imposter.
23. A boy in daycare once tried to clean dirt out of my eye when I was a little girl. See I have hazel eyes and one portion looks like dirt.
24. I’ve never had a perm even though I’ve wanted a long, loose spiral perm for as long as I can remember. I found out my hair may be too thick and the amount it would cost to perm it wouldn’t be worth it if it came out.
25. One day I hope to write a book about my past in order to help at least one person out in overcoming child molestation. As a child I felt alone in this world because there were no stories of which I could relate with. I want my past to become something beautiful and know that even if it is just one child, at least I’ve helped someone. There is a way to get past it, but it it holding on to the hope and getting through all that gunk that you must face which is the hardest. Sometimes, moving back or refacing the demons is the only way to do that.
I hope these random facts teaches you a little about me. If you have questions I would love to answer them. I had a hard time coming up with things you didn’t already know about me. Please ask me one question I didn’t answer above so I can continue this. I’d like to one day have a 100 random facts about me page.
These are really fun facts. I have never broken a bone either (Knock on Wood).
Right? Now I’ve stubbed my toe to the point it was completely purple.
YOU GIVE BIRTH IN 30 MINUTES OR LESS!? As in, going into labor? Or delivering? I deliver fast, but my labor takes a bit to get there.
It is fun to learn about you. I type out y’all too!
Thank you Beth. Do you have any questions I can answer? I realized I didn’t get into too much there but was really at a loss to what people may find interesting. 🙂 I’m definitely going to do a 100 fun facts about me later but I need some really good things to talk about.
I’m loving the comment about the boy trying to clean dirt out of your eye. Kids can be so funny. He probably thought he was doing you such a favor. I love hazel eyes, even if a random little guy thinks they are dirt specks.
The entire thing, one reason I always have to be near a hospital. With that being stated when I had to get induced I did not have quick ones….basically as son as they listened and just break the water it is 2 pushes and a baby. 🙂 I got lucky but with my first two I had issues immediately after giving birth because I had them too quickly. They turned out just fine.
So many interesting facts! I didn’t get my license until later as well. I was 28, though! 🙂
Finally, I’ve met one other person that waited to get their license. 🙂
I also deliver pretty quickly. And you must get some more travel in. There’s such a big, fun world out there! 🙂
You’ve inspired me to create one of these posts on my site. 😀 I like your facts – I’m looking forward to when you post 100 facts. 😉
