The Wonder of Creation Devotional for Kids

With Christmas in less than 24 days, I can’t help but think of all the different types of devotionals I can get my kids. I was recently able to read “The Wonder of Creation: 100 More Devotions about God and Science” with Nicoli. Let me tell ya this little boy is loving it.

Nicoli is all about God but he is just as impressed with things he hasn’t yet discovered like Space, the Earth, and all things science basically. One great thing about this book is it is written right to the child but it is written by a pastor too that has just the same interests as my son. He even includes in the intro which pages to go for certain topics like Space, Earth, Animals, and people.

Yes, Nicoli did jump write to the space section and read. In this devotional, you’ll get the title (sometimes funny: What’s Oort there?), a verse, some science stuff mixed within the devotional, at the end of the page is a prayer. It ends with a fun picture and a “Explore the wonder” giving some facts about the topic of the chapter.

As I said Nicoli jumped right to page 102. He learned about the Oort Cloud and how it is full of icy bits. He explains that the Oort Cloud is really far away but it still surrounds us. This is true about our God too, he surrounds us. Things in life may not always be easy but neither is having faith always. He reminds us of Esther and Daniel how they dealt with some hard times but they never quit having faith.

The prayer for this was “God, please fill my life with people who will show me to love and serve you. Amen.”

If you are looking for a Devotional about God but have a science lover to this is a great book for them.
