A satire movie, this laugh-out-loud comedy film about church folk. Church People (#ChurchPeopleMin) is the story of real people with real struggles and their unique paths to discovering what faith in Jesus is all about and what it is not about.
Church People Cast: actors and actresses you may recognize are: Christian comedian Thor Ramsey, Stephen Baldwin, Donald Faison, and even NSYNC’s Joey Fatone!
Church People Movie review
Church People movie is the truth that teenagers ask youth pastors weird questions. The movie starts off with some pretty crazy youth conventions. The youth pastor, Guy, is doing everything, including tossing a beach ball through a crowded church. There are lights, sounds, etc. Massive crowd but he is noticing one thing, no one is hearing his message anymore. That he got lost somewhere along the way.
The Senior Pastor, Skip, is literally crazier than he seems to be, at least that is how he is portrayed. He’s doing everything he can to get the crowds in the door. Have you ever seen something like this? It seems he too has become lost and believes it is all him and gimmicks. He’ll do anything to get them in the doors, but it seems he’s forgotten he still needs to deliver God’s message. I love that Church People really gets down to showing what could happen at a church if they strive for just getting people in the door.
Church People Will Try Anything
Guy has realized what they are missing and tells the pastor it is time to go back to the Gospel. Pastor won’t have that though, they gotta go big. There’s going to be a real Easter crucifixion! If Guy won’t do it then Skip will get the newly Christian teen to do it. This teen will do anything to make God happy and Skip will convince him this would make him thrilled. Would this sacrifice be worth it?
While all this is going on Pastor gets a visit from his adult daughter, Carla, who just so happens to volunteer to help out with the teens. Guy immediately gets a quick crush and the feeling seems mutual. Except Pastor Skip knows all and tries hooking her up with the lead singer. haha. The lead singer is a bit annoying and very comical, but not at all what Carla would go for.

Oh but there’s another surprise visitor, Guy’s daughter shows up. He doesn’t even know who she is when she meets him. Why? Well, I’m not going to tell ya that, you have to watch to find out why she’s so angry and why he didn’t even know her name. Wow!
So look for Church People and find out who gets crucified or will they? How will this entertainment church ever become a traditional one once again? Who gets the girl? What happened to Guy?
