Graduation Has Come Again!
It’s Graduation Time!
It’s been a while since I’ve been on my blog, so very sorry but it’s been a few crazy months. From taking care of myself to getting the kids through another school year. But wait, this wasn’t just another school year. As parents we learn as we go, am I right?
It’s a big hurdle when one of our kids are coming up on graduation, even bigger as the time approaches and you finally get to watch them walk across the stage. It’s been a few years since my first child walked across the stage but watching my daughter was just as hard. I’m sure I’m not the only one that gets that sense of pride watching this type of stuff, yes I’m sentimental and every bit of it is important to me….including the last day of school ritual but that’s another blog post.

Katerina, aka BalletGirl was our most recent graduate and she graduated with a 3.5+. Woo hoo! On top of keeping her GPA high she also worked part-time for the past 1.5 years. I’m so proud of her for this accomplishment. I loved that I got to share in this with her. I watched her get from the moment she was born, watched those first steps, first teacher, her first job and now walking to get her Diploma. A week after graduation she started applying for another job. Why? The one she’d worked at for the last almost two years hadn’t given her a raise, it was time to move on from that first job. Another milestone. She got the job she applied for and it pays more. Woo hoo! I’m watching my baby grow up. Even better, this Fall she will start going to college full-time.
Milestones for Everyone
This year also marks another milestone, many actually and I’ve been struggling with them all. Maybe it’s an age thing, maybe it’s an empty nest and full nest thing, who knows. Each child is going through something new. Nicoli will start Kindergarten this Fall, Little A goes to Middle School, BabyGirl hits 15 and starts High School, Katerina starts college.
Lots of achievements and things to be proud of and I know I’m very blessed to be able to watch each of these stages. Those thanks go to my kids as well as my husband for giving me the ability to stay home and be there for each one of these moments.
Katerina <– (Don’t forget to visit her blog) if you are reading this I want you to know I’m so proud of the young lady you are starting to become and can’t wait to watch your life fold out in front of you. I can’t wait to see you hit the goals you want in life, the career you are after. I can see you becoming a teacher. I love you BalletGirl and I hope you know how much.
