30 Days to Understanding the Bible and Remembering It

Ever have a problem understanding the bible?

The beginning of this year, I knew I wanted to really read the bible. Last year I tried following along with a bible study group but ended up falling short. Why? Simple, I couldn’t seem to remember who was who or the order the bible went in. When I was told about 30 days to Understanding the Bible I had to at least try it out. 30 days I could understand it more? I loved the idea.

What you can learn tomorrow is built on what you learn today!” I love this quote because that’s what each chapter does and it is in each chapter. It goes over everything you just learned and quizzes you, a summary and a self-test and then does it all over again.

Do you want to learn more about the Bible but don’t have a lot of time? Trust me I was worried about this when I started reading the book. Not because I doubted it, but the word time. Earlier this month I found out we were moving a few blocks away and time was a huge issue.

I haven’t finished the book completely but what I have read has helped me out so much. Once I’m moved in (next week) I can settle down and just take it all in and I can’t wait. I’m already loving re-reading the bible with the help of 30 days to Understanding the bible.

Do you need a quick refresher on what you already know? If so, 30 Days to Understanding the Bible is for you. With just fifteen minutes a day, for one month, you’ll learn the Bible’s key people, events, and doctrines.

Do You Struggle with the Bible?

Reading the bible is no simple task, many people say they are going to do it as a goal and often fail half way through it. I get it. The language can get confusing (depending on what style you get), there are many stories in it with lots of different characters. Families that go on and on and often you forget who was related to whom. For others it gets confusing because of the timeline.

Using a proven study plan, author Max Anders breaks down the Bible’s structure so you can learn and remember the key points of the Bible’s text quickly. 30 Days to Understanding the Bible is the straightforward, easy-to-use guide to learning that Bible that’s been recommended by Bible teachers and pastors for 30 years.

Can you believe it? Only 15 minutes.

This book breaks down the bible in such a way you’ll understand what part of the bible you are searching for.  Explaining the difference between the old and new testaments. My kids already knew there were 66 books of the bible but they could not tell you how many books in the old vs new.

Dig into the Bible Deeper

To go a bit further that they could be divided up by kinds of books. Old testament has history, poetry and prophecy. The new testament has historical, Pauline Epistles and general epistles.

At the end of each chapter is a quiz/worksheet to help you along and boy does it. I like the timeline the best, explaining which books go in what order.  For me this helps a lot it means I won’t get too confused with all the stories.

Bella’s favorite part of this book has been the maps because she gets to look at where it took place and label it.

Yes, I definitely recommend this book for anyone wanting to try reading the bible for the first time or even a seasoned bible reader. There’s definitely a ton of information in this book. This is definitely a way to help get a little bit closer to God then you already are.
