The Life of a Home Mom

School Shopping with Dayspring

Today, the kids and I went to do some more back to school shopping, but this time it wasn’t for us. We were selected through Collective Bias to go shopping for Dayspring products, they provided us with the money to do so. Dayspring is a faith foundation which has all types of school supplies such as notebooks, binders, etc with phrases on them from the bible. While I may not be 100% religious I do love the positive focus it has and think kids need to know it. Since this time of year many focus on the public schools I reached out to our local “Our Lady of Greenwood” church school and asked if they needed supplies.

Last week they had an entire selection of “Dayspring” products on their shelves, but today when we went there was barely anything. I was told they weren’t sure when they’d be getting new stuff since they had so many of the regular school supplies left. We grabbed 2 of everything since we were donating one bag to a girl and one to a boy. The kids got a kick out of picking things out and made sure I remembered backpacks for them. In the end, the kids loved doing it and honestly want to go with me tomorrow but since they start school in the morning it won’t be able to happen. Little A will be the designated one to hand over the backpacks.
