Holiday Baking Exchange: Apple Pear Crumble Pie

Collective Bias just had (what I hope becomes an annual tradition for the holidays) a Holiday Baking Exchange where members got to exchange recipes with one another. I got Melissa over at www.westmichiganmommy.com which specializes in giving you all the latest deals.

The recipe was something I’d never heard before but sounded so good……Apple Pear Crumble Pie. I love apple pie when it is fresh out of the oven, I even place Reddi Wip or ice cream on top. But I’d never had a pear pie, or an apple pear pie so this was something different. The kids were excited about trying this, for one it meant they got to go shopping at Walmart and two they got to bake with me. So off to Walmart we went, there was a coupon for Parkay so we grabbed that out of the ALL YOU magazine before we left. (Buy 2 quarters get the 3rd for free)

Melissa’s Apple Pear Crumble Pie recipe is listed here for all those that want to try it out. (Hint: Click over and make it and come back here to tell me what you thought) The kids had a blast once we got home, of course while at Walmart they did more of their holiday shopping (which means telling me all their wishes) but at home they each helped me make the pie.

SoccerBoy: taste tester and picture poser (hehe)
BalletGirl: Preheat oven, placed pie in oven.
Little A: Crunched cookies, stirred mixture, placed apples in pie crust
BabyGirl: Counted cookies, poured everything in, measured, etc.
Myself: I supervised and had fun watching my kids help make a #Familymeals together.

Thanks goes out to @Conagra #CollectiveBias and Melissa the WestMichiganMommy.

I was compensated for this exchange but had a ton of fun with it.
