Wordless Wednesday: Last Day of Summer & Awards

June 11, 2014 By · 3 Comments

It is the ending of summer, which means the beginning of a whole new school year. Wow, I can’t believe next year will be my oldest two big years. SoccerBoy will be a senior and BalletGirl will be a Freshman. I believe this will be an extremely busy year between the two of them but it will also be the first year they are in high school together and will be able to attend dances so I know both are watching after the other one. So very proud of these two no matter what they think, they are truly awesome kids with such big spirits.

I just hope Big brother stays out of trouble. At the end of BalletGirl’s 8th grade year she got a ton of awards which did not surprise me in the least because she is a very smart young lady and turning into a very intelligent woman. We had a lot of firsts over the summer and a lot of just hanging out.

I will treasure this past summer, in a way I’m kind of sad that we are on the last days of summer because everything goes by so much quicker now. He’ll be graduating, I know I’ll want to cry and she’ll be ready to find love, have some fun and move on to college. I love you two very much and am very proud of the people you have become. Once again, congratulations BalletGirl for your award.
