We played at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair! #Chitag

Yesterday we were invited to play at the Chicago Toy & Game fair, also known as #Chitag. Actually we were invited for the whole weekend but could only make it yesterday as we drove 3.5 hours to get there. We got to the Navy Pier a bit early so we got to walk around it a while and check out all the places before they opened and look at the wonderful mosaic artwork and read the time-lines. The kids learned a lot and kept talking about the mosaics. The girls were kind of bummed that Build-a-Bear wasn’t opened before the Toy Fair began but I quickly reminded them of all the fun they were about to see and do.

BabyGirl couldn’t get a “Star Wars” outfit but we did put her hair up like Princess Leia. What do you think?

Breakfast with the bloggers was great. For breakfast drinks we had a choice of apple juice, milk or coffee. The meal we had muffins of all types, bagels, donuts, danishes and oatmeal bars. I was able to meet with bloggers: Jen Ratti of Craftymomof3, Agnes Rhodes of DiaryofaSAHM, Lori of MissLori, the famous MJ Tam of the Chicagonistas, Beth Ronsen of The Mid Life Wife, Christina of FuzzySheep and Alli of Couponingfor4. I know there were more and I’m so sorry for not listing you. Comment below if we ran into each other. I want to visit each of your sites.

We got to hear Daymond John, Vanessa Vanhatten (RadicalParenting) and Meredith Sinclair before going inside to look around at the toys. Once inside we were given Scavenger hunt forms to fill out. I had fun watching my four kids find toys/games that they loved. The first place we stopped at was the TopTrump Cards. Check out the kids playing this fun card game which resembles the game WAR a lot.

Next we had to stop at the Legoland area to check out all the different Lego stuff including the giant ones. Check out the following pics:
