That First Sleepover

Well this momma is going to learn what it is finally like to have one of her girls to go to their first sleepover. Sleepovers are definitely a lot different from when I was a kid. I remember we would pack a sleeping bag, pillow, night gown and the basics and head over. We’d all rent a movie that night, have a little party and finally fall asleep all giggling. The following morning we’d have to rush home before 8 am.

Today, or at least this particular sleep over will last until at least 2pm. the following day. Truth is my girls have never spent the night at someone’s house. Maybe I’m overly protective but they’ve also never told me someone invited them. It took a bit for me to agree to this but since it will be a group of girls I thought it would be better. I said yes! lol. I’m sure she never thought I would but truth is BalletGirl is ready and wanting to grow up so quickly.

So how do you deal knowing your young one won’t be home that night when you peek on all your kids around midnight and 2 because you hear a noise?
