September 21, 2016 By · 8 Comments

We Love VeggieTales

A new 4th season of VEGGIETALES IN THE HOUSE is premiering this Friday, September 23rd only on Netflix! And to get everybody excited for the new season we have some super special new activities for you ! Thanks and have a great week!! Do your kids watch on Netflix? I’m going to have to start tuning in more now, we just subscribed again. Nicoli will be so happy.

If they ever need a little help eating their vegetables here is a little fun and recipes you can try. Maybe get them involved and have them make them with you. I’ve always found that getting my kids in on the baking/cooking increased my odds.

Relaxing Weekend

April 19, 2010 By · 4 Comments

How was your weekend? Here in this house we enjoyed the outdoors and I did tons of homework. Friday was more of a vegging out day, the kids and I watched movies on Netflix. (my new favorite video place to rent and watch movies from)

What have we watched recently on NetFlix? The husband has kept Netflix busy at night watching his Comedy (Here’s your Sign) and Anime. Myself, I’ve watched the following:

-For Keeps
-The Christmas Cottage (sue me, I like Christmas movies all year round)
– America’s Sweetheart
-Baby on Board
-The Uninvited (Spooky)
– Mrs. Winterbourne (remember that one?)

The Kids have been watching Season 1: Sonny with a Chance & Season 1: Suite Life on Deck. These were not on the same day, just the past few weeks. Currently they are sending me: Speechless and the new release, “Blind Side.” (I’ve listed the movies above here with amazon links in case you want them)

Saturday:  The hubby decided we were NOT staying home, rented a car and then we all went to Legends Mall and Russell Stover’s for chocolates. Who can resist chocolates right? We stopped off at a lake before going home and have decided we want to check it out more and rent a space for a weekend. It looked very calm, relaxing and peaceful. We topped the night off by going to Logan’s Restaurant. Oh and a brief stop at the park.

Sunday:  The hubby took the kids to the $2 movies to watch “Tooth Fairy” while I did homework and a class. Gotta love when they do that.

That was my weekend, now for you to share yours.

Half Day With the Kids

April 1, 2010 By · No Comments

While we had “Spring Break” the week before today the kids were released on a half day due to the upcoming Holiday weekend. What does this mean? Simple the kids are coming home and will be arguing with one another. No, not really or at least I hope they won’t be.  It is windy so they are cooped inside today.

First- Chores, each one will get their own set of chores and before you ask I don’t make them do much. SoccerBoy must wash the dishes, kitchen counters and clean his room.  BalletGirl cleans the kitchen/dining room floor (they are small), table and her room. BabyGirl cleans the hallway and her room. Little A picks up the toys he continutes to dump out.

I also plan on watching movies with the kids tomorrow on Netflix. Oh did I tell you? I decided to go ahead and do a membership with Netflix. You pay $9.99 (or $9.95) a month and watch as many of you want instantly on your computer or have them come to you. We’ve currently watched about 12 movies on Netflix, the hubby has this insomnia thing so it helps him out. Myself, I’ve watched: Baby on Board, Second Chances and of course Barney for Little A.

The hubby’s been watching the Spartacus TV series and I kind of began watching with him on Friday, but they only come out with a new one once a week. He’s also into Japanese and animation movies so he’s watched a ton of those while I’ve slept. We also watch comedians on their a few nights a week.

I learned a lesson this week, never leave anything in your queue unless you want it to be sent to your house. I had Mrs. Winterbourne in mine and got an email on the 31st telling me I should have a movie in my mailbox on April 1st. I honestly didn’t believe it would be there that quickly but it was there today. Kids are already making plans for tomorrow. Got any?
