Holiday Gift Guide: Skylanders Starter Pack

December 21, 2015 By · No Comments

Disclosure: We were went one for review, but all opinions are our own. You may find affiliate links so that you can check out the Skylanders Starter Pack for yourself.

Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack and Little A says, “In Skylanders Superchargers starters Pack you are trying to defeat Kaos. The first chapter you meet your characters as you are leaving your home town because it was destroyed. You save three people and go to their academy to learn stuff and earn money. The little pieces are awesome. You can change out your characters/vehicles too which I hear you couldn’t always do. This is definitely on many kids’ Christmas lists this holiday season and not just kids but adults too and I can see why.

BalletGirl age 12, “The Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack  gives you this rush because you have to race on the 14th chapter you go up against this cloud guy that refuses to give you something you need so you have to fight him. You can easily change your characters when you want to do it. You can train your characters at the academy. There are three vehicles, land, sky and water. It’s awesome.” By the way this is a single player game unless you hook it up online.

The Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack, now available for consoles and compatible iOS devices (Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and iPod), is the perfect gift for the whole family! Everyone can get involved in head-to-head racing competitions – even far-away family members as the game can be played online for the first time ever!

Holiday Gift Guide: Tumble Trax

December 9, 2015 By · No Comments

Disclosure: I received a sample of the product for review purposes to include in my Holiday Gift Guide.

I love educational products for my kids, always have and always will. There is something about watching their minds work as they play with a toy and get more than just the original idea out of it. Recently Babygirl (age 12) attended a Stem camp during her Fall Break and loved it so much I wanted to find STEM products and did. So for all of you out there that are looking I must say this is definitely something for everyone, it isn’t just a small age group.  It’s Learning Resources Tumble Trax Magnetic Marble Run. Holiday Gift Guide: Bookroo

December 1, 2015 By · 5 Comments

bookroo
Over the past few months I know many heard about the Children’s Book Challenge, well for my group of friends and me it worked. I loved watching the excitement in my kids’ eyes as a new book they either had no clue about or I hadn’t purchased for them arrived. They would quickly open their package and sit right down and read it. I, as a reader, loved seeing this and also as a parent.

I know the excitement of getting a book it the mail but I thought it might just be an adult thing because it is the little things that get us excited. Not true. I quickly went online to look and see if they had anything like this. Of course they do. Bookroo!

What is Bookroo? Simple this is an adorable little package that comes in the mail once a month and treats your little one to either 3 board books or 2 picture books depending on your age group. I couldn’t help but get excited just about reading what happens. See they don’t just send a box like amazon does and you open it up to the book. No! There is a bigger surprise. Inside this regular packaged box is gift-wrapped surprise books for your child. Yes, they get to open a gift. You can also choose to subscribe for 1 ($19.99), 3 ($55.99), or 6 ($104.99) months at a time.

The Hoover airLift Deluxe Review #HGG

I was sent this in order to do a review on a few sites but I decided this is something adults would LOVE in their home which meant this would be a great gift for Santa to leave under the tree. The Hoover air Lift Deluxe allows you to lift off the canister for convenience, in other words you know those cobwebs up on the really high parts of your ceiling your regular one won’t reach? Well this one can. Lift the green button (that says LIFT) and carry it where ever you need it.

Cameras I Want for Christmas from Best Buy!

December 19, 2014 By · 3 Comments

Disclosure: The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.

Best Buy Cameras

As a blogger I think we all dream of being one of those bloggers that take the really awesome photos. Am I right? Up until September I had a camera phone and by that I don’t mean it was a really good one. This past September I purchased a GE for about $150 but it doesn’t take the shots I really want.

Now I always dreamed of having one with a lens that I could adjust by placing a different lens on it but as the holidays came and went I kind of gave up, all our “extra” money would go to the kids. Yes, you know I’m that type of parent, I buy my items on clearance and it takes you to bend my arm for me to even do that. So I decided to drop a few hints this holiday season and post a few cameras I wish to have from Best Buy.

When it comes to Best Buy I don’t live near it but I love the fact you can order whatever you want from the site and it will still get to you. Today is the LAST day to order movies and/or music from Bestbuy if you want it to arrive by Christmas Eve.  The order I am doing this is the cheapest price to the most expensive/most desired by me. hehe

TIP: Do NOT forget that every camera will require a memory card because they don’t automatically come with the camera.

Best Buy Camera

The Samsung Galaxy 1 16.3 megapixel digital camera: This Samsung Galaxy 2 digital camera’s 16.3-megapixel, 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS sensor allows you to capture sharp images and high-definition video footage. The 4.8″ touch screen simplifies operation, and built-in Wi-Fi makes sharing stored files easy. A digital camera that allows you to shoot, share, and use Android Apps

–  I love the fact that this one is sleek and would definitely fit in a jacket pocket, side of my purse, etc. I think this is definitely a nice camera and would be a great one for a beginner wanting to learn how to use one. (BalletGirl would be perfect for this one, course I’d take it too)
