Over the past weekend we welcomed two new additions to our family and I must say I haven’t seen everyone this happy in a while. Who knew pets would bring so much joy into the family? I sure didn’t. But I have 4 very happy faces to prove to me this is definitely a good thing. I must admit I have wanted a pet for a very long time but due to life I hadn’t got them. This past week we had the opportunity to get a kitten but when it was time to go get them there had been a misunderstanding and they were gone. The kids were crushed and I was depressed seeing the kids as down as they were. Hey when you have two kids crying because of anything you feel hurt.
But we ended up finding a craigslist add for kittens and went to check them out. I didn’t want to get my hopes up, as we drove out there I kept my fingers crossed as now I knew all the kids were hoping and it was an hour drive. What if we got up there and they too were gone? Once inside the house I saw a ton of kittens all cuddled up in a pink blanket. I kind of felt guilty just taking one, so I took two. I mean how can you take one when they are cuddled like that? They need someone to keep them company when you aren’t around. We put them in a small box and put them between my legs on the way home. The black one wanted to look around but the orange one was highly scared. Once at home it took some coaxing to get the orange one out but the black one was our little adventurer.
