My Review of Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus Fully Charged!

Yesterday the entire family went to Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana for the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus presents Fully Charged! Circus. I was given tickets for my family to attend, as well as a set of four to one lucky winner which happened to be a guy named Adam B. and I hope he had as much fun as we did. Of course we got to Indianapolis a bit early and had dinner with daddy over at Buffalo Wild Wings and then went straight up there. The walk was nice, one thing I like about Indianapolis is you can walk just about anywhere you need to go.

I have several places where you can see pictures of the circus, yes I took a ton. On Google + you can view my Circus Pictures here (Eliza Ferree or look me up under homemom3@gmail.com) or on Facebook Ringling Bros Circus as (Eliza Ferree). I must say I have been to a few circus’ in my life, growing up as a child my parents use to take us and when we lived in Missouri I was invited to the Ringling Bros circus. Every time Ringling has always proved to surprise me with more acts that I had not seen before. Last night was amazing. We went to the Fully Charged Themed circus, to be honest I never knew that the circus changed up its routines really until the last few years.

Ours was the Red Tour, which had The Human Fuze (cannon ball man), Asia the Elephant who paints pictures, Tigers and a white tiger, Tabayara the funny animal trainer, Fernandez Brothers jumping from the cages high above the floor (Yikes) and Danguir Troupe. These were acts that immediately come to mind. I remember thinking at one point that one of the Fernandez brothers were going to miss the cage as they jumped from one to the other. Phew they didn’t. The Danguir Troupe was amazing, I’d never have the guts to do it even though it is one of those things you just wish you could do. For those that do not know this is a tight rope act, one girl did the splits, others did flips on it but then they brought out the bikes and went back and forth above the crowd. Talk about fearless.

With that being said I must say we watched and laughed at each of the clown acts, I think my favorite and maybe because as a child I was always teased about being a blonde and heard all the blonde jokes would have to be “How many clowns does it take to screw in a light bulb?” hehe. Little A loved watching the clown that juggled, BabyGirl loved the clown that played the guitar.  SoccerBoy loved the clowns on the jumping sticks trying to score hoops (basketball). BalletGirl loved watching when the clown got smacked right in the BEEEEEEEP with the stick by the ringmaster. OUCH. Clowns are hilarious and even the hubby was getting a kick out of them.

The funny thing is no matter how much of an adult you are, there is sure to be a moment where the circus makes you laugh and feel like a kid again. One of my favorite things about the circus was always the cotton candy, course these days it is expensive but the hubby bought me some anyways, even if it was $12. That’s a steep price but I don’t care, I still like that feeling you get as it dissolves on your tongue as you are laughing at a clown. Course the kids loved their clown cups with slushie for $10 each. But they will have these cups for a long while now.

Favorite parts:

BabyGirl loved watching the elephants dancing and posing together. BalletGirl liked the acrobatic girls that did the flips on the ropes in the air and twirled. Little A loved the tigers and the horses but did get scared when the Human Faze caught fire (he was supposed to do that though). SoccerBoy loved loved the high power back flips and the catapulted man as he called it. Myself, that’s hard to choose but I’m going with the tight rope. As for the hubby I believe his favorite part would’ve been the comedy bouncing bike with the clowns this is where he kept laughing.

The circus will be in town until December 4, 2011 here in Indianapolis, Indiana so if you want to go don’t wait too long.
