I’m in LOVE with a Pillow and Baby Talk

That’s right I’m in love with something I sleep with and it isn’t my husband. Okay well not just my husband. This past weekend my father-in-law came down and brought a gift just for me. I was a bit shocked and wondered why, I knew he didn’t know my birthday was this week. Apparently the last time he came down he’d seen the condition of a pillow that goes everywhere with me. This pillow is a feather pillow and I’ve had it now for about 5 years. It is no longer white, if anything it is a bit of a beige color…I’m not even sure if that is the color. But you get the drift, it can no longer be bleached and no matter how hard I try keeping it from the kids one always seems to find it. So it is old, but old isn’t always bad, especially once you get comfortable with it and have broke it in. Am I right?

Pillow in question

Well I have a confession, the pillow in which he brought down is this a Sealy Posturepedic® White Goose Down Pillow. Whether you keep it in the ziploc bag it comes in or take it out you can feel how super soft it is. Now I had no clue if I’d even like it because it wasn’t straight feather but I’ve learned Goose Down is much better. I sleep a lot better with it now and I definitely don’t allow anyone to have this one. It will stay pure white as long as I can keep it that way. In the meantime, it is tucked under my covers in my bedroom until it is time to go to sleep.

Now for some baby talk…went to the doctor yesterday for my routine check. Baby measured 25-26 weeks so we are right on schedule. Not saying how much I’ve gained, I have my own issues with this but will eventually get over it I’m sure. Brought all three kids because they decided to have my appointment at 3 p.m., 15 minutes later the kids would be getting out of school. I didn’t want a 9 and 6 year old home alone so I took them too. This was a first time any of my kids have been to this little man’s doctor appointments. They were angels. PHEW! However once we listened to the heartbeat SoccerBoy insisted I’m pregnant with twins. Yes, once again we heard two heartbeats but one is mine. But try convincing him of that now that he heard two. haha, not happening.

Now I’m off to lunch, have a nice day ya’ll.
