Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk Review & Giveaway

We were recently sent 4 coupons to try out the new “Horizon Organic 1% Chocolate Milk,” this included (2) coupon for Free half Gallon Chocolate Milk Plus DHA Omega-3 coupon and (2) $1 off 64oz Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk Plus DHA Omega-3 so I could review it. We tried the “Horizon Organic Milk” for the first time in March 2008 and the kids liked it, not all of them though. Actually BalletGirl didn’t like it at all and I wasn’t sure if she’d dare to go near the red milk with the cow on the front again. When I got the coupons I brought the milk home and BalletGirl gave me that look like, “Mom you aren’t going to make me review this are y ou?” But I insisted it was chocolate so it might taste better.

The Facts on the milk:

Ingredients: Organic Grade A Lowfat Milk, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Cocoa, Organic Vanilla Flavor, DHA Algal Oil, Carrageenan, Salt, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D3.

The four kids, myself and hubby tried it, 5 of us ended up liking it. Now I had only bought one half gallon milk which is a shame because it was gone in that setting and everyone…except the hubby, wanted more. The milk to me was smooth and not thick like most chocolate milks.

BalletGirl: It was better than the white milk, I didn’t like the white milk but I loved the chocolate.
BabyGirl: Yummy. I hope they come out with a pink Horizon milk.
