CollectiveBias Gets Healthy!

With the New Year approaching I can’t help but think of one of my goals, to lose weight and get back into shape. I still can’t believe it has been 14 years since I graduated high school, a time in which I ran track and cross country….yet today I could never run like I once did. I don’t want to hold back as I enter 2011 and I hope you can help by supporting me in this mission. Thinking back to high school, a time in which I never thought twice about what I wore, yet today I struggle get into things or I worry about the way I look. It’s kind of funny when you look at it like that, how much you’ve changed over the years.

Back in 1996

Sure I’ve blamed having four kids, course than I look at moms that have had more than four or like 19 and back at myself. There’s no excuse except I quit practicing what I use to do, I let myself eat and I stopped working off what I ate. A time in which I weighed only 113-121 yet when I look at the scale today it goes over 200. I’m disgusted! I want to be able to lose a LOT of weight this year, but I want to first be able to cut the junk out of my life and replace it with the good…mixed in with a bit of exercise. So when CollectiveBias asked our group if anyone would like to take the #31Days challenge with LeanCuisines and Skinny Cow I jumped at the chance. I’ve reviewed Skinny Cow a year or two ago and loved the ice creams and I’ve ate Lean Cuisines more than once. But this challenge would use 11 bloggers and we’d all be held accountable plus we’d have a support group. I love this and of course I’ll be doing it. I’m even going to be taking photos of me (eeeek) and some video chats on here. Here’s a list of the weightloss groupies that’ll be doing the challenge with me. :)

  5. I think so many of us want to look the way we did pre-kids. I know I sure would. Good luck on your journey

I know I won’t get down that low but I would like to be a healthy weight and not be obese or overweight. I want to be able to run in a mini marathon or a marathon if I choose to do so. Not worry that I won’t make it past the first mile or down the street. It would be nice to get back to the pre-kids but I was only 18 then so I was super thin. lol. I needed some meat on my bones back then. It’s funny how so many of us hated the way we looked back then and now are wishing for that chance.
