Grinch Cake Mix Cookies with tiny Mint Hearts!

Nicoli and I wanted to make cookies one day and had recently heard of cake mix cookies at story hour. I decided to go to the store and see what we could create. We saw lots of cake mixes to choose from and in the same aisle was all the Christmas stuff and someone walked by with a sour attitude and I immediately thought about Grinch. We’d make Grinch Cake Mix Cookies!

Aren’t those Grinch Cake Mix Cookies cute? I’m the type of mom that loves to tie baking into something to read or watch. These cookies would go nicely with a hot chocolate, curled up in the living room watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Don’t you think so?

Ingredients for Grinch Cake Mix Cookies:

  • Cake Mix
  • food coloring (green)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • powdered sugar
  • Andis mints

Holiday Cash Giveaway: $130 Amazon Gift Card/Paypal Giveaway

November 11, 2016 By · 2 Comments

That’s right, it’s another giveaway! This giveaway is for a whopping $130 Amazon Gift Card OR Paypal for the Holidays. Thanksgiving is in a few short weeks which means Christmas is just around the corner. Have you done your holiday shopping yet? Do you have all those Christmas wish lists or your Thanksgiving Turkey in your freezer? This could definitely help out.

My son recently went off to boot camp, which means this year our family is celebrating Thanksgiving Day with an actual TURKEY. We haven’t had turkey in about 10 years due to the fact he’s allergic to the bird. Yes, I said that. He’s allergic to turkey. So since he will be busy doing push-ups and sit-ups we will be chowing down on something we haven’t had in a VERY long time. Which means

I need some cash for turkey and all the fixings. hehe. This would be the perfect giveaway for me to enter, but sadly since I wanted to be so nice and offer it up to one person I will not be joining. I’ve teamed up with everyone on the rafflecopter for one lucky winner. So make sure to follow EVERYONE. You never know which will lead to the winner.

Oh for those of you wondering….Christmas is just 44 more days! So get ready for the big man to come. As for me, I’m counting down because that’s when I get to see my son.

One Wish List Item from each of my kids:

BalletGirl 16, is all about make up, boys and work these days so it wasn’t a surprise to see she wanted brushes. Not just brushes but NICE brushes. NAKED is a collection that I love so I can totally understand this. BabyGirl 13yr is more of my Goth girl. She loves all things Nightmare Before Christmas and Hot Topics. She already found a jacket she swears up and down she will wear every single day of winter if she got it. haha.

Little A (9yr) has finally started reading books and while they are related to video games nothing makes me happier than seeing him want to read something. Woo hoo!  Nicoli (3yr) has been all about Peppa Pig and PJ Masks so when he saw the plush version of one of his favorite shows he started asking.

SoccerBoy: Harry Potter Chess Set.

So what’s on your list? Don’t forget to enter the giveaway below. You don’t want to miss out on free money do you?

$130 Amazon Giveaway!

First Son: Barron Trump

November 9, 2016 By · No Comments

The White House Kids: First Sons

This morning I watched the re-runs of Donald Trump stepping in as the President-elect. I couldn’t help but notice the mini me standing off just behind him. That’s right, behind the podium where his Father was giving a speech to all his supporters stood Barron Trump, son to Donald and Melania. The 10 year old had a tired face, you can see he was struggling to stay awake to support his father. First Son: Barron Trump looks tall for his age, unlike my son who is still trying to catch up to his peers in height. Immediately I looked over at my own son who was just getting ready for school and smiled with pride.

Barron Trump Watches Dad give his Victory Speech

Here’s a few quick facts about Barron:

  • He’s the youngest of 5 of Donald’s children.
  • He’s an only child of Donald and Melania
  • He’s a little cutie.Nicknamed “Little Donald”
  • According to his mom, he loves to dress nice over comfy.
  • Yes, he was sleepy last night. But he probably wanted to stay awake to find out.

Here’s a few thoughts:

Up Past Bedtime: SO WHAT!
Yes, Barron was up past his bed time as many have pointed out due to his tired look when his dad gave his Victory Speech. Guess what, it happens. How many of you have ever had a child that wanted to wait up until the New Year just so they can celebrate with you? I’m almost certain this little boy loves his dad so much that he wanted to be a part of the family.

He wanted to see whether or not his dad would become the next President of the United States of America. Do you blame him? Wouldn’t you have wanted to see that if you’d watched your dad get this far? It’s amazing! He has to be so proud of his father. I’m glad this little boy got to be part of such an important event/moment in his family.
