Like many parties, not everyone showed up, we competed with the town festival without realizing it. But or those that did show up they had a blast. SoccerBoy liked what he saw of the dvd (they gave us a DVD of the upcoming season plus other shows coming out) but the kids were too loud to watch the whole thing.

Do you remember going to the circus as a child? Did you ever get a chance to see a Ringling Bros Circus? These were my favorite, we only went to a few but they were a blast. I just loved watchig the acrobats, of course I was like the rest of the kids wishing to join them one day. In the meantime my favorite thing at the circus besides them was the pink cottony stuff, ya know the cotton candy. Yumm, it was soft and deliciously spun just to make it melt in your mouth and hot and freshly done. Not like these things you can buy in the stores these days. My father would treat us to a hot dog, soda and cotton candy then we’d all share a bag of popcorn during the show.
We’d watch in awe as they performed above us or laugh out loud at the funny things the clowns would do, including soaking us. It was hot anyways so we never minded. The circus reminds me of the simpler times in life when it really was family first in America, not all this rush rush rush.
I got a CD of the Ringling Bros and showed my kids, we got it through MomCentral. The kids loved it, enough to watch a second time. My daughter was worried the lions would eat the men in the show. BabyGirl wanted like the horses and elephants, she wants to be one to ride them and do neat stuff like that. BalletGirl wants to perform on the high wire, talk about no fear. Their brother, SoccerBoy loved watching the lions and the motorcycle performances. Course each one got a clown nose to play with from Ringling Brothers, I’ll also give some of our upcoming party guests some noses.

What are your memories?
Ya’ll know I’ve just started using coupons so this giveaway was a really neat and fun one for me. I mean a place that always has GREAT deals and here they were offering me gift cards for their store to my readers. Not only was I getting introduced to them but I can give something back to my readers too.
How many of you can feed a family of four? Many of you can I’m sure, but how much does it normally cost? For me, we are a family of 6 and it can surely get expensive fast depending on what I buy and where I buy it at.
Save-A-Lot has decided to help you out on this, they even have an area where they list breakfast, lunch and dinner meal ideas for a family of four for under $20 bucks. I’m sorry you can’t beat that. Well now not only do they offer this but they want to give a $20 GC to their store for 4 of my readers. So read below to find out what you need to do.
Rules: Answer one of the following two questions:
“What is your favorite grocery savings tip?” or “Tell us – how much does it normally cost you to shop for a week’s worth of dinner?”
I figure with the economy going down the dumps and gas prices along with milk, eggs, etc, all going up this could be a topic we can all use. Have fun. Don’t forget to stop by Save-a-lot and check out their deals.
Deadline: September 30, midnight. I’ll announce the winner on October 1st, the winner will be notified by email but keep checking back as some of you I believe send mine to the junk box. 🙂
